1) Tell Us Something is a non-profit as of January 1, 2022 that has been operating as an LLC since 2011. Tell Us Something is a live storytelling event based in Missoula, MT. Tell Us Something inspires more understanding, acceptance, and empathy within our community. Each event features 8 storytellers from the community sharing their true personal stories from memory and without notes. As a result of the live events, we produce a podcast featuring the stories that have been shared live on stage.
New website design. 2) The website is utilized to publish and host the podcast. We feature a blog post monthly and occasionally use the website to sell merchandise and tickets. We use it to advertise live events. 3) The current website feels very corporate. The custom Wordpress theme built by Gecko Designs feels bulky to use on the back end and does not feel inviting to use on the front end. Content updates are taken care of in-house. Gecko Designs manages back-end coding and plugin updates etc.
1) Existing functionality must be maintained. The website should have a more intimate and inviting feel. (See items 2 and 3 above). 2) I have already described how the website will be utilized. The target audiences are users who may attend live events as well as podcast listeners. Sponsors will also use the website to verify that they are being properly thanked for their support. The 501(c)3 will use the website to publicize its board members. 3) I have already mentioned data migration, ticket sales, merch sales, and podcast publication as requirements of the new website.
