Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity
The Global Presence is a prominent organization dedicated to enhancing life skills education across various sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, and education. However, despite their strong advocacy and commitment, they face a significant challenge: the lack of a cohesive, globally recognized framework that defines life skills. Existing frameworks tend to be fragmented, with various organizations taking different approaches, leading to confusion and inconsistency in implementation. This inconsistency poses a risk of misalignment in educational policies and practices, which ultimately affects the quality of education and the effectiveness of life skills training programs.
Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
  1. Key activities for this project will include a comprehensive audit of existing life skills frameworks using qualitative research methods, such as document analysis and expert interviews.
  2. Students will utilize analysis techniques like thematic coding to identify overlaps, gaps, and contradictions across the frameworks.
  3. Collaborative workshops will be organized to brainstorm and propose a unified taxonomy that categorizes life skills into foundational, applied, and advanced tiers.
  4. The final deliverable will be a publishable Life Skills Standards Framework accompanied by a visual taxonomy, integrating feedback from stakeholders throughout the process.
  5. The use of project management tools such as Microsoft Project will aid students in tracking progress and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
  • The expected outcomes of this project include the successful creation of a Life Skills Standards Framework that is credible, clear, and globally relevant. Students will achieve learning outcomes in project management, research methodologies, and cross.
  • cultural analysis. Business value will be realized through the establishment of The Global Presence as a field.
  • defining authority in life skills education. The project will be guided by SMART goals, such as completing the audit within the first month, proposing a preliminary taxonomy by the midpoint, and delivering the final framework and visual taxonomy by the end of the semester.
