DreamSync is positioned to make a significant impact in the job search landscape; it has a compelling mission to empower job seekers, particularly marginalized groups. However, the company faces a business challenge: despite having a promising prototype, the solution is not built to scale effectively. Currently, this gap hampers user experience and diminishes the platform's ability to connect job seekers with suitable opportunities, resulting in lower engagement. The current impact of this challenge could lead to reduced trust in the platform among users and hinder its growth in a competitive job search market.
Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
  1. Key activities in this project will include conducting user research to understand the needs of the target demographic, analyzing competitive job search platforms, and developing the AI algorithms and machine learning necessary for deep profiling and job matching.
  2. Students will utilize methodologies such as Agile development practices to ensure an iterative approach to building and refining the DreamSync prototype.
  3. Deliverables will include user personas, a product roadmap, and a scalable MVP 
  4. Regular team meetings, stakeholder presentations, and progress demos will facilitate continuous feedback and alignment with project objectives.
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
  • Expected outcomes of this project include the successful development of the DreamSync platform MVP, resulting in improved user engagement and job matching efficacy. Students will gain hands on experience in software development, AI, and machine learning, alongside valuable insights into entrepreneurship and market strategy. Specific SMART goals include completing the user personas and product roadmap in 6 weeks, and a market-ready MVP by project completion. Ultimately, the collaboration aims to position DreamSync as a leading solution for job seekers and job optimizers while providing students with a robust capstone experience.
