| Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity | Homeland Connection Project. We are looking to create an event, like the Puerto Rico Connection Project that was held at RootsTech 2024, at the RootsTech YA After-party on 1 March 2024 at the Salt Palace. At that event, the attendees were invited to help build the family tree of Puerto Rico, as a service project and as a fun cultural activity!

| Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required | We would like to end up with a project plan that suggests the elements for success from the Connection Project, and suggests where and how we can do it again successfully
We expect the students would research the Puerto Rico Connection Project (there are many write-ups). Bonus if one or more of the students attended the activity in March! Then, we would want a detailed project plan, which would include a suggestion of one or more cultures to target, the location/s to hold the event, and a detailed plan on how to plan, prepare for, and execute the event. |
| Project Synopsis: Expected Results | An actionable plan for a successful activity that could be hosted by FamilySearch and another organization, to build the family tree, increase cultural awareness, and have fun!
