Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity
About SVP Tucson
·       Social Venture Partners (SVP) Tucson is a nonprofit organization that envisions a community where everyone thrives. We achieve this vision by connecting and investing in our community to enhance social impact.
·       SVP Tucson is an ever-expanding community of engaged philanthropists dedicated to building the capacity, strength, and impact of nonprofits in addressing social problems.
·       We bridge the gap between philanthropists and nonprofits – intersecting relationships and resources between these areas, ultimately bringing resilience to our nonprofit sector.

About Corporate Partnerships
·       SVP Tucson’s incoming revenue is generated through Partner renewals at $5k+, Corporate Partner annual membership of $5-10,000 a year, grants, the Fast Pitch Program, the Connie Hillman Family Foundation matching grant. SVP Tucson currently has 150 Partners.
·       Partners make annual contributions in addition to lending their expertise, time, and skill set to providing nonprofit capacity building such as board governance, leadership development, strategic planning, fund development, marketing, and program design.

The aim of this project is to:

1.      Conduct listening sessions with current SVP Corporate Partners to understand their current experience, how we serve them, gather feedback, and communicate all opportunities for SVP Partner engagement (2Gen Advisory Teams, Lead Partner on Projects, Speaker Series, Annual Partner Meetings, and educational options such as Coaching and Facilitation Community of Practice).

2.     Generate an analysis of SVP’s corporate partner experience, discover trends, identify opportunities for growth, and collect testimonials.

3.     Design a strategy to increase Corporate Partnerships for SVP Tucson. Findings should include how SVP Tucson brings added value and meets social responsibility requirements for businesses.

Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
The Process will include:

SVP Corporate Partner Research
·       Investigation and research will be conducted on how Social Venture Partner affiliates deliver and maintain Corporate Partners. Social Venture Partners is in eight countries with 3,400+ Partners and has supported more than 900 nonprofits with $80 million in funding.

Corporate Partner Interviews
·       SVP Tucson will be scheduling interviews with current Corporate Partners and interviewing them with NYU Wagner students documenting each discussion. The updated list is available on svptucson.org.

Data/Feedback Analysis
·       Once interviews are completed, students will provide feedback on the strengths and weaknesses observed and provide a final report.

Strategy Recommendation
·       Students will provide a summary report and share the effect of Corporate-Community Partnerships within SVP Tucson. The report should include testimonials, quotes, and specific examples of projects and consolidate discoveries that SVP Tucson can use to increase and market new Corporate Partnerships.

Project Synopsis: Expected Results
Personal testimonials
·       Collecting individual quotes that SVP can use to communicate impact or improve the current Corporate Partnership structure is vital to the project. Ensuring that necessary permissions are authorized to share quotes with the public is important.

Value Proposition
·       Capture SVP Tucson’s value proposition to Corporate Partners. This should demonstrate how SVP Tucson provides professional development opportunities and direct engagement to increase the capacity of our Nonprofit Partners and, as a result, build stronger organizational leaders within their corporations.

Measurable Results:
·       Partner values and experience
·       Partner engagement and satisfaction
·       Number of Partners over time
·       A success story
